I am deeply disappointed with the service I received here. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rude and disrespectful behavior. It quickly became apparent that the staff, particularly the office manager, harbors racist attitudes which made my experience even more unpleasant.
We were unjustly charged for canceling an appointment. While the doctor agreed to dismiss the fee, the office manager, driven by blatant racism, refused to honor this decision. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
Additionally, when we arrived a bit late for our appointment due to a car accident, we were turned away. However, I witnessed an underage American kid with a similar issue receive lenient treatment and their fee was dismissed without any problem. The double standard and discriminatory behavior here are shocking.
I would strongly advise against visiting this dental practice if you expect to be treated with respect and fairness. This experience was not only frustrating but also deeply disheartening.

I was about 10 minutes late for my semi-annual check-up and cleaning appointment this morning. The office staff was very understanding. There was no delay in getting me in for my examination and cleaning. I was out of the chair in a very reasonable timeframe.

I saw Dr. Ban at Sunny Smiles for about a year starting in 2022. I first visited their offices for a cleaning and to ask about getting some upper crowns to have a nicer smile for my daughters wedding several weeks away. I was happy Sunny Smiles did all they could to help the process along.I wish I could have really seen how the crowns looked before they were cemented in. I felt rushed that day and could only hope I'd like them. Sadly, as I was leaving and looked at my smile in the restroom mirror, I immediately wished I had never had it done it. The caps/crowns are clearly too thick and too large.—This is evident by looking at my remaining teeth which are much smaller. Now, I also have a larger overbite. I was told there would be no spacing between the caps, but the spacing is very obvious. My teeth look unnatural, masculine and somewhat like bad chiclet dentures. But It was too late to do anything. I remember hearing the doctor say that due to the cement used, “there’s no way these crowns are going to come off.” So after spending thousands that I had saved for years, I am still self-conscious about my smile—maybe more so. My family was silent when they saw the new crowns at the wedding. When I asked what they thought, they fumbled with words not to hurt my feelings, but no one could say my teeth looked better.
My last appointment was about a white temporary substance that fell out of a bottom tooth. It exposed an extremely painful gaping hole and also became infected. The tooth was not nearly as bad before treatment. It showed signs of decay, but it never bothered me before. When I asked about replacing the white filling, I was told again and again that there was no such filling noted in the records. I was confused. Then, that same day, the white substance I had referred to, was put on that same open tooth again. On that day, I was also told I would need root canal work that may or may not save the tooth. Why wound I risk thousands more only to find the treatment might fail.
I need to mention a few other things—
The cavities that were filled on my upper/lower right teeth did not completely cover the teeth and food often gets trapped between the slight gaps. In all my life, I have never had this happen. And now there is some black decay starting to show on one of the bottom teeth that was supposedly filled.
Even after all this time, whenever I see my teeth (every day), I’m s disappointed and frustrated. This was hard to write. It’s not meant to be spiteful—it’s meant to be honest and to hopefully prevent others from going through some of what I experienced. I sent the above message to Dr. Ban/Sunny Smiles over a year ago, but never heard back.

I had a bad oral surgeon mess up the process of getting dental implants and he left me missing a tooth on each side of my mouth, which makes it extremely difficult to eat!! Dr. Brant suggested getting a flipper to resolve this issue until I decided what to do next!! His recommendation and creation of a flipper is an amazing option and I am delighted with what they have done!! They have made a horrible experience so much better and tolerable and I am grateful for their expertise!!!!!
