Today, we had our first consultation at Rudnicke Orthodontic for our 9 year old son. We previously had a consultation with another orthodontic office, and our experience with Rudnicke was 100% better (and our last experience wasn’t bad, that’s why I’m leaving this review).
Rudnicke experience went from good to great!
Differences I witnessed:
- Rudnicke office did more evaluations than just x-ray
- Pictures with a camera were taken (shots of profiles and with mouth contraptions inserted to truly see the gums and teeth)
- Mouth ruler measurements of top and bottom jaw
- And may I mention more cost savvy than the other quote we got - for the same needs
And then on top of these extras…the customer service & experience!
Charlie is in need of a palate expander and braces. We’ve been watching one of his top teeth as it needs to fall out (and it was loose - even when we saw the other orthodontist).
The other orthodontist put in an order with Charlie’s dentist to have the tooth extracted this past Spring. As a mom, I didn’t like this idea, as it’s painful & potentially an expense not needed. AND they didn’t tell us they were putting in that order - we found out when his dentist called us to schedule the procedure.
In talking with my mom friends, they recommended Rudnicke, so we made a consult appointment. Charlie’s “trouble tooth” was still wiggling.
Dr. Rudnicke built a relationship with Charlie in the time of 20 (maybe) minutes, in which Charlie (my adverse risk, doesn’t like pain) agreed to let him pull the tooth with his fingers — then & now during a FREE consult. AND, then fist bumps him when he needs to leave, while he’s pouring supportive/proud language of Charlie’s bravery and appreciation of Charlie’s trust in him.
And YES, we’ve scheduled all of Charlie’s procedures to be with Dr. Rudnicke.
I can only rate a 5, but my rating exceeds that!

Dr. Rudnicke went above and beyond to help me get the smile I’ve always wanted. I’ve been self conscious of my teeth for as long as I can remember and I finally don’t have to worry about that anymore. It was a difficult case but we worked together and got it done. Thank you so much!!

We have had nothing but great experiences with Paul and his staff. The office is well organized, the staff is very polite and warm, and Paul is great at his work. His easygoing and lighthearted personality is refreshing. We'd highly recommend them!

I finished my Invisalign treatment today ! Thanks to Dr. Rudnicke and his wonderful staff. I wasn’t the easiest patient. I lost a retainer or two but Dr. Rudnicke never made me feel bad about it. Dr. Rudnicke and his team was with me every step of the away and I can genuinely say that he did everything he could to make sure I was satisfied with my smile. The staff is always pleasant and as a new transplant to Winston-Salem it’s good to feel welcomed. I’ll be in Winston-Salem for at least three more years and if I need any orthodontic treatment I will be sure to see Dr. Rudnicke and his all star team, again!

Set up an appointment for my daughter in early July for a braces consultation. Showed up 31 minutes early at 10:59, and got my paper work done by 11:10. After 3 people walked in without waiting from 11:25-11:45 and we sat there the only 2 in the waiting room, I decided to leave as my kid had already missed 2 classes. I decided to come back and just let them know we are leaving (instead of just walking out) and office staff informed me that they could "take me back now" at 11:50, but orthodontist would not be able to see us for another 30 minutes...RIDICULOUS...Office staff was very nice but this was some of the worst customer service and lack of respect for potential customer's time. They could have easily told me at 10:59 when I got there, "we are super backed up and it may be 12 or 12:30 when you can finally be seen if you want to reschedule or go eat lunch and come back, and I would have been 100% ok with that, because it would have shown a little respect for our time. Highly disappointed in this referral from our regular dentist.
