This is more of a comparison between my most recent visit and previous two visits at this practice. The first 2 visits I had were great. My first visit there, I told my husband that this was the best dental practice that I'd been to. They took so much time to hear my concerns (I was just going for a regular cleaning but have never loved the dentist for a variety of reasons) and ask many questions. It felt like they wanted to get to know me. This most recent visit, it felt like the quickest dental visit I've ever had in my most recent memory. The hygienist pulled me back, may have said hello & how are you doing. After that, she never really had anything else to say, and I felt the visit was rushed. I told her that my gums were sensitive while she was working on them, and she just said that makes sense because she was getting under my gums and that they were inflamed. Dentist came in, may have said hi. He did a quick glance, saw a dark spot he relayed to the hygienist, and said otherwise everything looks great. Then he left. Last visit, he told me how my teeth looked 10-20 years older than my age, now saying they look great. I just feel like after this visit, the visit felt rushed, I got different messaging from the dentist between visits, and I did not feel valued as a customer with a very quick transition from the whole team.

Needed my Wisdom teeth out - ASAP. Roach was the only place open and got me in within a few days for extraction. 5 teeth out, almost no pain at all — everything was seamless.
Everyone has been so sweet, kind, reassuring, and professional. They took all the worry out of it for me.

I found Roach Family Dentistry because of a Saturday emergency. Dr. Ahmad, Annette, and Kim have been the best in helping meet my needs with exceptional care. Wonderful place. They got me in the same day I called. I felt so comfortable and taken care of. I had a chipped front tooth. They fixed it, beautifully, on the same day. Dental hygienist was amazing and accommodating.

Being a physician that works full time (5 sometimes 6 days a week), I schedule appointments such as dental cleanings on my vacation days. I have never had a cleaning appointment last more than 45 minutes and that’s with x-rays. At my initial appointment with this practice for a cleaning I spent 30 minutes with a staff member (not the hygienist) while she took approximately 8 bitewing x-rays and then proceeded to do a “scan” of my teeth (the purpose of which is unclear). I told her at the beginning of the appointment I had another appointment in an hour. She then told me that my appointment with actual hygienist wasn’t until 10:00 when my appointment time was 9:30. She said I would then meet with the dentist for 30 minutes to discuss a “treatment plan.” I was obviously confused as I have no issues with my teeth and was only there for a cleaning. The only thing accomplished was x-rays as I had to leave for another appointment. They then rescheduled me for 7am on the following Monday only to call me later the same day to tell me I was not a good “fit” for their practice as they employ a “comprehensive” philosophy.
All this to say, if you are a busy person who perhaps works full time and you have no issues with your dental hygiene, DO NOT waste your time with this practice. You will be spending at least an hour and a half do get done what other dental offices can achieve in 45 minutes.
You are correct Terry, I am not a good fit for your practice as I am entirely too busy and value my time too much to have it wasted. My 18 year-old son does not have that kind of time either so you can cancel his appointment as well..
