Vacationing on the island and had an emergency but was told they aren't taking any new patients. In my opinion a terrible thing to do especially since it's
a Vacationing town

I have always purchased a plan with Morrison for years now. 1.5 Years ago I had a cavity that they could not fix while I was pregnant, it resulted in a root canal. Once the root canal was finished, I had an infection in my gum. Called the office several times and they kept giving me antibiotics (xray there showed an infection). I could never get an apt with a dentist OR they scheduled appointments without calling me and told me I missed them. They are incredibly hard to get appointments with and when you do, they never follow through with what is needed. They make appointments without your consent and claim that you miss them. Awful service and demeanor. I asked for Dr. Morrison to contact me himself, after 16 phone calls and 4 emails threatening legal action he finally emailed the rudest reply about my dental history and care with zero sympathy. Would never recommend using this dentist locally to our Island.

Been going to Morrison Dental for many years. Always wonderful service from the moment you walk through the door! From Jen at the front desk to Amy the hygienist and the dentist- always pleasant, personable and professional. Recently had severe tooth pain, called at 8 am was asked to come right away, no questions asked. They took me back right away and the problem was diagnosed, kindly explained by the professional dentist and taken care on the spot. Thank you Morrison Dental for taking great care of my husband and I. You are always highly recommended!

I visited Morrison’s Dental in Chincoteague for a filling in February 2023. The dentist (which I don’t believe is still practicing at Morrison’s) that did the procedure did it incorrectly. I had so much pain I could not chew on that side of my mouth. After visiting this same dentist again and the issue was not resolved, I ended up going to another dentist to have the work redone.
I brought this to Dr. Morrison’s attention and to make things right he advised that he would withdraw the claim to the my insurance company for the work on that tooth in order for the other facility to bill, which I appreciated.
It is now September, and I am still working with my insurance company and Jen at Morrison’s to resolve this. First, I want to say that Jen has been a pleasure to work with. However, I am not sure what is going on in their billing department if it takes 7 months to submit the correct paperwork. In speaking with my insurance company, Morrison’s has sent in paperwork at least twice incorrectly. At this point, I am not sure if it is incompetence or what, but this has been quite the ordeal.

My front tooth veneer fell off while visiting Chincoteague.I called Monday morning with low expectations of the office being able to accommodate me just because I know how busy and backed up dental offices can be especially in a small vacation area. A lovely woman,Hailey I think, answered the phone; explained my predicament. I also emphasized I got it if they couldn’t help. Suffice to say kindness goes a long way. She appreciated mine and I am grateful for hers. I was squeezed in some how. The hygienist and dentist were wonderful. I especially appreciated the time the doctor took to explain why the veneer fell off. All round my experience was exceptional. Highly recommend with the caveat of be kind and understanding. It’s a small practice doing great work.
