I was beyond impressed with monument dentistry today! I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years and they never once made me feel shamed about that.
They also took the time to thoroughly review my medical chart (which a lot of places don’t actually do!) Dr. Castellano was familiar with POTS (a disability I have) and was willing to work with me to keep me from having any dizzy or fainting spells during the procedure. It is so hard to find any medical professionals that are familiar with this, so that really stood out to me!
He and the hygienists were also amazing in explaining what they were doing every step of the way.
The entire team was incredibly friendly and also super accommodating of my medical alert dog too. They even gave him a little led vest to keep him safe during the X-rays!
I was really worried about going to the dentist after such a long time, but they made it easy and comfortable for me every step of the way. I highly highly recommend.

The staff at Monument Family Dental is phenomenal! As a person who used to fear the dentist, they completely set my mind at ease with their caring and professional demeanor on my first visit there. I highly recommend this dental office!

I’ve been going here since I started going to Vcu back in 2014. Everyone is always very nice and friendly from the front desk ladies to the nurses and doctors. They are thorough and will explain anything you ask about. Highly recommend. (I also don’t love the scraping sounds that happen during cleanings and they let me listen to headphones/music while they work which is super nice)

This is a great place to go if you have dental anxiety. They give you lots of time and breaks as needed and ask before the appointment if there's anything they can do to help ease any anxiety you may have. I also like their membership plan for patients without insurance.

They are superb. I went with a tooth ache complaint and they were very quick to diagnose me with a wisom tooth having a cavity on it. I was properly explained the xrays and the extraction was done on the same day. Dr. Karp did a fantastic job with my tooth. I literally had no pain the very next day. Val was equally nice and competent. She kept on holding my hands when my tooth was extracted and it really helped me to relax. I am super happy with their service. Found the best dentist clinic near my home in Richmond.
