Dr. Castro is amazing!!! I literally am terrified of the dentist and have not had good experiences in the past. He has definitely changed my perspective. If you want a welcoming and patient dentist he is definitely who I would recommend!

I had a great visit today. I returned because I was not happy with the appearance of my temporary bridge. They got me in and out within 20 minutes. I would recommend Commonwealth Denistry to my friends!

Have had nothing but issues since they changed companies from legacy dental to commonwealth dental over a year ago. They did not notify me or my family as a patient. When they checked us in they informed us they still took our insurance. Turns out they were having some sort of credential issue for the first couple months with insurance companies per their own reps. Had three people go in for routine preventive care and still getting billed a year later for services. This is why my family hasn’t came back since and won’t. We loved the dentist there too but couldn’t deal with billing issues that’s taking over a year to correct. At this point I think they are just interested in getting money from since they had there issues with the insurance credentials.

First off let me say that the people I met today were so nice. I never once felt uncomfortable. They are so nice and they detail everything to you. Let you know options and what comes next. I was so nervous and embarrassed to go I almost canceled. But they make you feel comfortable and make you feel glad you came and that you shouldnt be embarrassed that life happens and you're here now and let's make a plan. I'm still really nervous about my future visits but if they are always this nice and compassionate about the comfort and care of their patients...I'm all in. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone and especially to anyone that feels nervous or embarrassed. It's always nice to have that anxiety lifted when you know hands down they care about your health and being comfortable.

Back when this place was Legacy Dental, it had a welcoming feel. For example, I needed a lot of work done, so Dr. Castro asked one of his dental assistants if she could come in over the weekend. She agreed, and he took care of me right away. Although the work was expensive, as dental work often is, Dr. Castro did a great job. However, he never called for a follow-up, even though I asked if I should make an appointment. They told me I could call back to do that.
Now at Commonwealth Dentistry, the experience is unbelievable. I was supposed to get a tooth pulled, but I was required to call the oral surgeon myself. The surgeon asked me which tooth needed to be pulled, so I had to call Commonwealth Dentistry back. They told me I needed to schedule a visit to find out which tooth needed to be pulled, even though I had already done this. Finally, after some back-and-forth on the phone, someone looked at my chart and said I needed tooth number 6 pulled. I had to call the surgeon back with this information.
I had an appointment on July 24th, but because I wasn’t available the night before to confirm my attendance, they canceled it. They even called my mother, who is my emergency contact, to tell her they were canceling my appointment if I didn’t verify. When I got to the office, they scolded me because I had apparently turned off their automated text notifications. I had made this appointment with Dr. Castro, but he wasn’t there; I believe he was working on someone else. Upon arrival on the 24th, they had me sign a paper saying it was okay for them to talk to my mother, even though they had already called her about verifying my appointment.
These people are something else. I really wish it was still like it was with Legacy.
