I've gone here for more than 20 years. At the beginning I had no dental insurance, and was always charged a fair and reasonable price. Dr. Miller has gone from being the junior partner to the senior owner a few years ago. He cares about his patients, and has always been gentle and kind while working on my teeth. He has done extensive work on my front teeth gaps, and has helped me keep my wisdom teeth (which are hard to work on, being so far back.) My favorite hygienist there is Kelly, who is just as kind and gentle.

As far as the hygienist goes I can't say anything negative, however there was a good bit of negative attitude coming from the receptionist. For someone who has extreme anxiety about the dentist, I didn't feel very comfortable talking with her. The cost was much higher than I expected as well because I was asked to have imaging done and no price was given. A receptionist explained to me that I should have asked how much it was, when I explained to her that I would have liked to know it was going to be an additional $91, taking my bill from just under $200 too close to $300. I was also met with a poor attitude, and treated as if I intended not to pay, when I mentioned I meant to bring cash with me; and had to make very clear that I had every intention of paying and was merely expressing that I forgot to bring the cash with me. I don't think I will be returning.

So as a little background I have been coming here for a couple years. I have received only cleanings and what I just recently found out are exams after my cleanings. My insurance covered my cleanings, but until this year I no longer had dental insurance. The most recent appointment I was billed over $140 for a cleaning and what they call an exam. The cleaning was rough and I had complained about it afterwards which I never do, but I was in pain numerous times with NO change in how the rest of my cleaning went. It took no more than 5 minutes which was unusual because I have always gotten cleanings that last longer than 10 mins. The dentist/owner came in and did what they call an “exam” which was look at my teeth for 15 seconds and say everything looks fine. Now the whole point to this post was that I am completely disappointed at the quality of service and lack of ethics this practice has. I had complained about the cleaning with nothing done and when I spoke to Diane the manager on the phone about my experience/bill nothing was done as well. I just received a condescending attitude with no use of morals. Over $140 is a rip off. If you want a reputable place travel to Smile builders. It is worth it, they act like empathetic adults and services are at a better price.

Because we strive to be a fair, honest, reasonable, common sense family dental practice who treat people like I would treat my family, I was shocked to see this one star review. We looked in our charts and computer files and have absolutely no record of a "Heather Tracy" in our practice.
