This place is great. We were referred there from Kids First Dental, and when I had an issue with Kids First, Carolina Dental Docs was able to fit my daughter in immediately. Without hesitation. And she went right back once we got there. It was so nice that they actually cared and made time without any fuss. 10/10 would recommend!

My son's first dental experience was with this office and it went really well! The entire staff were very warm and welcoming. The hygienist and Dr. Thompson's approach gained my son's confidence and he was relaxed the entire visit. I definitely recommend this office for parents looking for a good children's dentist.

I love everything about this office and their staff. My daughter has extreme anxiety and they are already patient and kind with her and my son. I drive an hour to bring my kids to them and I don't regret it for a second. Thank you Carolina Dental Docs!!

If you want to spend hundreds, and thousands of dollars and destroy your children's teeth, this is the place to go. I brought my child in for a new patient cleaning and exam. The hygenist/assistant was pretty good with my child and the dentist themselves was okay. What was not okay is the dentist pointed out one and I mean one single cavity on my child's front tooth and told me it would need a crown due to deep the cavity was (this already was concerning as I looked at the xray and the cavity was not even close) and they do sedation to fix any fillings or crowns because they "don't want to "traumatize" the child. I head up to the check out counter and to my surprise they want to do 2 crowns and a filling but yet the dentist said there was only ONE cavity. When I questioned it, they would not even acknowledge my concern with the incorrect information and stated I had to sign the paper. Another surprise was the cost of this sedation which was a drink to make the child sleep, it was around $600 and insurance did not cover it (kinda suspicious). Well I wanted to take my child for a second opinion and needed the xrays. I called to get them and the lady was adamant that I needed to sign a release but yet refused to email it to me and instead sent 1 xray photo. I went down to the office the next day and still was having issues getting the xrays as they felt I only needed the one. Everything in my child's chart is legally mine and regardless of signing an authorization form or not, they legally have to give me the xrays and any other information requested but yet they put up a fight. I brought my child to a different place for a second opinion and they said only ONE cavity and no reason for a crown or sedation. They numbed my child's mouth just a little, did a little laughing gas and fixed the cavity with no issues. I will never recommend carolina dental docs to anyone simply because they are money hungry and want to do treatment when no treatment is needed, or do a treatment that can be resolved with a lower costing one that doesn't destroy the natural teeth.

They are very personable and spend time talking with the kids to make them comfortable. This is the perfect dentist office for a child.
