The best thing about this place is Ms. Annette. Ms. Barbara was also very nice to me. I will miss them. Dr. Muhammad's bedside manner leaves much to be desired. On our first encounter, he ticked off a list of things I "needed" and all I heard was a cash register. I was told I had cavities that needed filling and that I needed Invisalign. I went back for the first filling and left there with a swollen face and no instructions on aftercare. I'VE NEVER HAD A CAVITY BEFORE IN MY LIFE I'm 51 years old. He and the hygienist played in my mouth and ruined my bite. He seemed .ore interested in teaching than my experience.

American Family Dentistry Raleigh is by far the best office I've been to. They are very nice and professional. My dental hygienist, Sharonna, is very professional and explained the process to me very thoroughly. She made me feel at ease while getting the service done.

The doctor and the entire office are great. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Time is worth gold to me. Their work is top-notch! Thank you all!

I was a new patient on 2/19/24. Aaliyah and Dr. Muhammad are the best! Aaliyah was extremely gentle on my teeth and Dr. Muhammad explained to me the corrections I need to make my smile perfect. After I took the pictures to have Invisalign, the front desk is supposed to call my insurance to get an approval. I’ve been calling once a week up until today, 4/9/24 to check status of my approval and it still hasn’t been done. The front desk always tell me when I call “we’re going to call and let you know” but it’s almost 2 months later and still nothing. The one star is NOT for Aaliyah or Dr. Muhammad, but for the negligence from the front desk. FYI I called my insurance company and no process has been started for them to obtain an authorization/approval.
To the comment below, NO I’ve been calling for the past 2 months. It’s nothing to discuss anymore.

I have going to doctor Hauckhauser my whole life. I have sent him so many new clients I should get all my dental work free.... but as of late too many insurance mistakes have occurred. You are not about to tell me how to get and pay for service that I have insurance to cover. I would put Ms..... on blast but at some point we have to understand that our brain is meant to age. Make it make sense if you did charge me a CO pay at my previous visit where you charged me for an exam due to me being out of network which you didn't inform me. Same insurance over 20 years same doctor for over 30 years. Then you agree to correct your mistake but now I got a 20% co pay 🤷🏿♀️ where was that CO pay ...... at the last out of network visit. At this point let me find someone else to clean my teeth cause that is all I ever get and at that last visit I didn't have anything to clean off my teeth per the dental hygienist. 30 years gone down the drain because of a receptionist. Good help is more than hard to find these days.
