I have had the best experience at Charleston Orthodontic Specialists in Mt. Pleasant. I’ve worked with Dr. Samp and his amazing team of ladies for the majority of my dental care. They are kind, caring, funny, really listen and answer any questions that I have. The front desk staff, Adrian, is always welcoming every time I’m there and makes great conversation. Everyone there makes you feel important and well taken care of. I’d truly recommend this practice and have to anyone. Looking forward to getting my braces off soon and not making the drive anymore, but the drive from Myrtle
To Mt. pleasant has been worth it. No regrets!

I actually can’t believe all of the good reviews here. Weird. Well I have been going through treatment here for over a year and very much regret choosing this practice.
This is a turn and burn place that does not care about patients and will try to skip details of treatment or tooth health if they can from what I experienced.
I am almost at the end of my treatment and I have had multiple bad moments here. I don’t want to get into a huge amount of detail, but from my time at this practice I would say they really did not care at all about me as a patient, tried to pressure me to accept less than I paid for, and also forgot my treatment plan multiple times among other things. I have had to petition for myself every step of the way here, help them fix their mistakes and overall get a very unprofessional and uncaring vibe here that I did not want from someone determine the future of my smile if I could do over!

Our daughter has been going through treatment and the people are lovely, however they have no respect for a scheduled appointment time and are constantly running behind. With their hours of operations we have to pull her from school and we try to do it during the times outside of her core classes. However, the last several visits she has not started her actual visit anywhere from 10-30 mins past the scheduled time.
I could totally understand this happening once because of an emergency patient being squeezed in, but every time in the last 6 months is getting out of hand. Our son will be starting his orthodontic treatment soon and we are left with no other choice but to select a different office. I am guessing due to the corporate overlords of this office (Smile Doctors) they are more concerned about quantity than quality. Like most businesses they probably need to pay their employees more so they reduce turnover, reduce their patient load or extend their hours so they can actually see all of the patients at their schedule time and accept that making a good profit with a great product should be better than making a great profit with a terrible product.
