Perhaps you should make it clear on your website that lower income brackets aren’t allowed to seek services at O’Donnell Dentistry under any circumstance. That should save everyone some time.
I called to make an appointment for my son and this is what happened:
Receptionist: “O’Donnell Family Dentistry”
Me: “Hi, I was calling to make an appointment for my son, he would be a new patient.”
Receptionist: “Okay sure, any Medicaid?”
Me: “Yes we have Medicaid”
Receptionist: “Oh, we don’t accept that here”
Me: “okay, well how much would it be if I just paid out of pocket for a cleaning and check up?”
Receptionist: “No we can’t do that, we can’t schedule it”
Me: “Because we have Medicaid you won’t even let me pay out of pocket to get my son a cleaning?”
Receptionist: “It’s against the rules and regulations of O’Donnell Dentistry”
Me: “Wow, thanks” *Disconnect*
How sad for you all that this is the way you treat people. On the off chance that the ownership or management of O’Donnell Family Dentistry wishes to further pursue the issue internally, this call occurred on Monday Feb. 19th 2024 at 11:15 am, the receptionist was female, though she never gave her name.

Amazing facility. Had to have a tooth crowned. Dr. O'Donnell was incredibly personable and explained every question about the process. The staff are friendly and every visit Ive felt welcomed. Highly reccomend. Since I have no dental insurance, the office has a % off for folks like us. Really helps! They want you to be happy and work how to show just that.

My family has been with Dr. Wallace for over 20 years. He took care of my children's teeth since birth. I am happy that Donnie is now enjoying a well deserved retirement AND I am extremely happy that Dr. O'Donnell is now taking care of all of my family. Dr. O'Donnell has had the pleasure of seeing me through a fractured tooth recently (I am getting old...). He is smart, patient, a good educator and technically excellent. He also has a great working relationship with his staff. He has Saturday hours which makes getting there easier. I would recommend him without reservation.

Great experience; the sweetest people and a really nice office. Everyone from the front desk on is so pleasant and helpful. The waiting room has a coffee station, charging station, kid's corner, and everything is clean and lovely. Abraham did my cleaning and was great-entertaining, answered a lot of questions, and made it easy. Dr. O'Donnell is very low key and unintimidating. He also explained things and reassured me and answered tons of questions patiently. Seriously, if you're going to go to the dentist, this is the place.

Best dentist in Lynchburg for sure! He and his staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Dr O'Donnell is like very few dentist in that when you have a dental emergency his staff will get you in quickly. I would rate this office higher than a 5 if I could. I would highly recommend Dr. O'Donnell!!!
