I would highly advise staying far away from this place. They are unethical and shady. In my experience with being a patient here, I have received numerous quotes that seemed way too high and had to contact my insurance to clarify that what I was being billed was correct. After contacting my insurance and talking to their billing, they then back down and admit that they were wrong with their billing. I recently just received a call 3 months after a procedure for them asking me to pay an additional $230 dollars after $800+ of cavity fillings. I literally paid in full the day I had those cavities filled. Why are you calling me 3 months after to collect even more money? When I asked what this balance was about, they literally could not provide an answer. Simply just said that the amount I was charged on the day of the procedure wasn't the right amount. Stay away from here. The dentists are good at what they do, but if you don't want to be heavily overcharged, do not come here. There are plenty of better dentists in the area. I will never be coming back to this practice
Everyone in this practice is so professional, knowledgeable, kind and understanding. They communicate at the highest level with patients and it’s obvious they love their job. I have been a patient since the practice opened and everyone I have referred are as impressed as I am. One of their main objectives is to ensure that the patient is always informed and comfortable. If anyone is nervous about a visit to the dentist and wants the best care possible I would highly recommend Oakton Family Dentistry.
As someone who scheduled an appointment with this office based on all the great reviews, I think it’s important to note that their patients are incentivized with Amazon gift cards to leave reviews… So here’s my review (and no, I’m not getting a gift card lol).. The office was clean and everyone was very friendly. I do think the hygienists and dentists are very knowledgeable. With that said, I did feel like we were being upsold on certain things. They scheduled a sleep apnea consult for my husband (who hardly even snores), which we later canceled. They said my son had a cavity on one of his molars, and when we went back to get it filled, the dentist had to consult the xray to even remember where it was and commented about how shallow and tiny it was.They also referred my 7yr old son to an orthodontist (who, by the way, happens to be the dentist’s brother) and was already telling him he was gunna get braces! I’ve had 2 cavities in my entire life (I’m 37) and on my first visit here, they told me I’ve got 3 cavities. Maybe I do, maybe I don’t, but if you prefer to take a conservative approach to dental work, this is probably not the place for you. They emailed me treatment plans with the estimated cost for all the suggested dental work, and it seemed very overpriced, especially considering they accept our insurance. And even after paying in full the day of treatment, I still got a bill a month later saying I owed even more! All this to say, not the worst dental experience ever but not the best either.
This is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to! They make you feel comfortable, valued and heard. They explain everything very well, are very personable and accommodate to make your experience as best as possible. On top of that, they’re encouraging and make me feel like I have the greatest and brightest smile in the world! I couldn’t praise them anymore. 1000/10 would recommend
I have been a patient since 2022, had several dentists before and Oakton Family is by far the best. Everyone is so kind, explains things in detail, answers any questions and always makes me feel comfortable. Oral health is so important and if you have any anxiety about going to the dentist they will do everything they can to make you feel comfortable.
